NAFAS Teachers are qualified at Area and National level. NAFAS Teachers are available to teach floral design at Club and Area workshops. Some social workshops, organised by individual teachers, are open to non – club members.

Margaret is a most sought after tutor with larger classes, specialist studies and individual coaching She is technically qualified to the highest levels with a host of return engagements to run classes and workshops at all levels of Floral Design expertise both at home and overseas.

Mrs Louisa Rigden
I love teaching and sharing my love of flowers with others. I have a NAFAS level 3 Diploma in Floral Design and a PGCE in teaching. I am teaching the new NAFAS Individual Courses in Floral Art and Design, as well as my own personal classes. I love running workshops and seeing the variety of work that students create from the same brief.
I’m happy to liaise with a club about their requirements for a workshop, whether beginner or advanced – traditional or contemporary. I became a National Teacher in 2020.

Mrs Beverley Short
I completed the NAFAS Advanced Floral Art Contemporary Course in 2013 and followed on and became an Area Demonstrator in 2014. I taught flower arranging leisure courses at Stratford College and now teach weekly classes in the local area.
I have run workshops at Birmingham Craft Fair representing the South Midlands Area and JDSE. I was accepted as a National Tutor in November 2023. I have had some success in competitions and enjoy the camaraderie of other competitors.

Ms Sharon Badger
Sharon teaches all styles of workshops – Traditional, Modern and Contemporary – for all levels: beginners, intermediates and advanced. She completed the NAFAS Diploma, Contemporary Design OCN and qualified as a City & Guilds Teacher in 2004. Sharon has taught City & Guild’s Floral Design as well as Leisure Courses as an Adult Learning Tutor for Leicester City Council.

Mrs Alison Suffolk
Alison has a wealth of experience as a tutor, having been a lecturer in FE teaching floristry qualifications for the past 16 years. Passing my skills and passion for flowers on to students keen to learn has been a great pleasure. Alison has taught some of the modules in the previous iteration of the NAFAS module course and also run Area Leisure Classes.
